Stoirm is offering an 8 week, 12U Co-ed League Program for girls and boys born between September 1, 2013 and Dec 31, 2016 (see http://volleyballnovascotia.ca/page.php?page_id=81072) The league will run Sunday, January 11 to Sunday, March 1 at Saint Andrew Junior School from 3pm-430pm. Note that our payment structure has changed slightly this season across our club: The total fee for the program is $89.03*. This covers a program t-shirt, VNS/VC membership fees and facility dues. $70 of this fee can be paid via SportHub or via e-transfer (SportHub preferred if possible). The additional $19.03 ($17 + service fee) is for VNS/VC recreation membership which is now paid directly to VNC/VC via https://volleyballnovascotia.sportlomo.com/. Registration will open on Wednesday, January 7th at 9am and close on Friday, January 30th at 4pm. Athletes will be accepted on a first come, first serve basis. Program Status: Registration Open |

![]() 13U Girls |
Program | Volleyball |
Based on Volleyball age Categories, generally the age groups are as follows: The focus of the 13U Program is to introduce and develop skills that can be performed under easy and stable conditions where athletes can both build and demonstrate consistency, control, and precision. The goal in these age groups is to start to develop the ability to maintain these skills when the athlete is under pressure, conditions change, or demands increase. The 6 vs 6 game is also introduced creating the need to learn team systems and position specialization. (LTAD, Volleyball Canada) In an effort to incorporate Long Term Athlete Development (LTAD), Volleyball Nova Scotia will make Tripleball the official competition format for all 13U events. The main catalyst for Volleyball Nova Scotia’s recommendation of Tripleball is the increased probability of creating a rally. Building up rallies and experiencing success early on is an integral part of learning and enjoying the game of volleyball. For more information please see http://volleyballnovascotia.ca/page.php?page_id=72143 Program Status: Registration Open |
