Volunteer Management Arrives
Volunteer management is now a dedicated part of PlayFinder, providing organizations with new tools to coordinate volunteers, manage opportunities, and support community engagement more effectively.
Organizations can now:

Manage volunteer statuses through the new Volunteer Admin section

Create and manage volunteer opportunities through the new Volunteer Opportunities area

Better coordinate volunteer recruitment, participation, and oversight across programs and events
Smarter Facility Discovery
Facilities can now be associated with the activities they support, creating stronger connections between facilities, organizations, destinations, and community opportunities.
Combined with enhanced Activity-based search capabilities, users can more easily discover relevant places, programs, and facilities based on the activities they are interested in.

Volunteer Management
Volunteer management is now a dedicated part of PlayFinder, providing organizations with new tools to coordinate volunteers, manage opportunities, and support community engagement more effectively.

Added Volunteer Administration tools, allowing organizations to update and manage volunteer statuses directly from the new Volunteer Admin section within the Programs & Teams menu.

Introduced Volunteer Opportunities management, enabling organizations to create and manage volunteer opportunities from the new Volunteer Opportunities area within the Programs & Teams menu.
Program Management & Registration

Added the ability to export new program information to Excel for offline review and approval. The export includes all program setup fields except the program description.

Improved Program Group management by adding a new Add Programs action directly within Program Groups. Administrators can now select active programs using checkboxes without opening each program individually.

Updated program registration processing for free programs ($0 fees) so participants automatically move to Paid status when confirmed.

Removed upfront waivers from the registration process and converted existing waiver content into optional templates that organizations can apply to programs as needed.

Resolved an issue that allowed registrations without a Primary Contact, ensuring family records contain required contact information before registration can be completed.
Search & Discovery

Expanded Activity-based search across Destinations, Organizations, and Facilities. Searches now evaluate associated Activity records, creating a more connected discovery experience and helping users find relevant programs, facilities, and community opportunities more easily.
Facilities & Scheduling
This release includes several significant improvements for facility managers and schedulers.

Added the ability for Organization Schedulers to create schedules for facilities, expanding scheduling flexibility where permitted.

Added support for breaking facility schedule blocks into Programs and Teams, improving schedule organization and reporting.

Introduced the ability to move events between facilities, allowing Facility Managers to quickly relocate bookings when operational needs change.

Added a consolidated schedule view for Facility Managers, enabling them to view schedules across all facilities they manage from a single location.

Introduced Facility Activity support, allowing administrators to define the activities that can take place at a facility. This creates stronger connections between facilities, search results, destinations, and community programming while improving discoverability throughout the platform.
Equipment Management

Resolved an issue affecting equipment fee visibility, ensuring rental and usage fees display correctly during the booking process.
Officials Management
A number of enhancements and stability improvements have been made to the Officials module.

Resolved an issue that allowed a single official to be assigned to multiple positions on the same game using assignment overrides.

Improved game assignment tracking by ensuring game status updates correctly when officials are assigned or unassigned.

Resolved an issue preventing administrators from removing the final assigned official from a game when necessary.

Improved official creation workflows by restoring Save and Cancel controls during new official setup.

Added safeguards to prevent duplicate officials from being created.

Corrected alignment and image display issues throughout the Officials module.
Family Profiles

Resolved an issue affecting Activity Age calculations for newly added family members whose birthdays occur later in the calendar year.
Destinations

Resolved an issue preventing manually created Destinations from saving correctly.
Organization-to-Organization Membership Management

Resolved an issue preventing administrators from deleting Org-to-Org membership transactions.
Homepage & User Experience

Refreshed the homepage banner styling with updated colors and improved spacing around the PlayFinder logo.

Resolved a page layout issue where section headings appeared too close to the navigation menu, improving readability throughout the platform.
What’s New & Where to Find Updates

A scrolling marquee on the website highlights timely updates with a blue, clickable link that scrolls from right to left.

Release notes (like these) are published regularly and are always available under the "Info" tab on the website.

Depending on relevance, the marquee may link to community announcements, newsletters, or platform release notes—making important information easy to find.
