Big Island Beach is a beautiful, peaceful beach that runs for kilometer's and includes both sandy and rocky parts. It's a lovely and relaxing spot. Sand bars with shallow water are ideal for frisbee or catch during low tide. Because the sun sets over the water, you can stay at the beach until late in the afternoon. One of the best in Pictou County! Poison ivy can be found in abundance along Big Island Road, especially around the beach entrances. On-site restrooms and trash cans are not available. Please dispose of your garbage in a proper manner elsewhere.
