In this 45 min workshop, participants learn about how people crossed the ocean in days gone by and how they navigated into safe harbours. Hands-on activities include using ‘telescopes’ to identify constellations and creating a lighthouse from a water bottle! Compete in lighthouse trivia and a “captain’s orders” game (nautical-themed Simon says type activity). Learn to tie some useful knots that will come in handy on a boat!
