FFLN ACE Leadership Awards
These awards formally recognize and celebrate individuals who demonstrate and support female leadership – through πΌππ©ππ€π£, πΎπ€π£πππππ£ππ ππ£π ππ’π₯π€π¬ππ§π’ππ£π© – in sport, recreation, and physical activity within the Fundy region.
Eligibility Criteria:
- The nominee will have demonstrated evidence of leadership and commitment to improving gender equity within the sport, recreation, or physical activity sector.
- The nominee will have contributed to positive change in programs, policies, and/or practices that built/ continue to build a culture where girls and women are encouraged and supported to participate meaningfully in sport, recreation, and physical activity.
- The nominee may be a program leader, mentor, coach, official, board member, athlete, volunteer, a driver of change, male or non-binary ally etc.
- The nominee must be living in or supporting females in Colchester, Cumberland, or East Hants County.
- The contributions that the nominee is recognized for must be on a volunteer basis, not through a vocational position within sport and recreation.
Award Categories:
- ACE Youth Award: This award is given to an outstanding youth between the ages of 14-25, who represents leadership through Action, Confidence and Empowerment within sport, recreation and physical activity sector in the Fundy Region.
- ACE Influencer Award: This award is given to someone who has had a significant influence on the success and implementation of sport, recreation and physical activity opportunities for women and girls within the Fundy Region.
- ACE Perseverance Award: This award is given to someone who has persevered to advance women in sport, recreation, and physical activity throughout the years.
*About the Fundy Female Leadership Network ACE Awards – In 2015, a multi-sectoral committee was formed with the purpose of supporting and promoting female leadership within community sport and recreation. The Fundy Female Leadership Networks were launched in the Spring of 2016.
