The Pictou County Trails Association (PCTA) focuses on developing, maintaining, and promoting recreational trails.

Connecting to the Town of Pictou on the Jitney Trail, the Short Line rail trail will serve as an active transportation corridor from the rural communities to the town.  The trail is close to businesses, healthcare facilities, workplaces, schools and shopping, and is within convenient and comfortable distance for walking and biking.

Pictou County Trails Associations goal is to complete a trail from Lyons Brook to the Colchester County line. Pictou County Trails Association is bringing new life to an abandoned railway.
