The Pomquet Development Society (PDS) works to sustain the Pomquet community and promote Acadian culture in the Antigonish area. Its main project is the Chez Deslauriers home, a restored 19th-century house that operates as a seasonal tearoom and interpretive centre showcasing local history. The site also hosts events, performances, and rentals. Beyond this, PDS organizes various community initiatives and celebrations throughout the year, supported by a core group of about 20 volunteers.
