Search Page User Guide

The Search page allows you to find organizations, facilities, programs, and related activities within the PlayFinder system. You can filter, sort, and view detailed information about each item.

How to Use the Search Page

  1. Filter by Type and Activity:
    • Use the Type dropdown to select the category you want to search (e.g., Facility, Program, Organization).
    • Use the Activity dropdown to filter results by specific activities (e.g., Soccer, Swimming).
    • The page will automatically update when you change either dropdown.
  2. Search by Text:
    • Enter keywords in the search bar to find items by name, description, or other relevant details.
  3. Sort Results:
    • Click on any column header (e.g., Community Name, Name, Type, Activity) to sort the results by that column.
    • The sort icon indicates the current sort direction (ascending or descending).
  4. View Item Details:
    • Click on an item’s name or logo to view more information in a new tab.
    • For facilities and organizations, you can access their public details, schedule, or equipment list.
  5. Contact Information:
    • Contact details (email, website, social media) are shown for each item. Click the icons to open the relevant contact method in a new tab.
    • On smaller screens, click the info icon to view more details in a modal window.
  6. Pagination:
    • Use the page navigation controls at the bottom to move between pages of results.
    • You can adjust the number of results per page using the page size selector.

How do I view a facility’s schedule?
Click the calendar icon next to a facility or use the "Schedule" link in the details modal.
Can I contact an organization directly from this page?
Yes, click the envelope icon or the email address to send an email.
How do I sort by a different column?
Click the column header you wish to sort by. The sort direction will toggle each time you click.
