🏒 Program Details

  • Saturday morning practice: Practices will rotate between Antigonish and Cape Breton.
  • Friday Night House League: All players will continue to participate in their regular Friday night House League in their home region (Antigonish or Port Hood).
  • 3–4 games per month: Games may be scheduled during the team's regular Saturday practice time or on Sundays.
  • Travel: Some games will involve travel to locations such as New Glasgow, Truro, Sydney and Halifax.
  • To keep the commitment manageable, we will also look to schedule games against nearby C teams, including AMHA, Strait and Canso, whenever possible.

🥅 Goaltending
If we do not have a designated goalie, we will ask players to rotate through the goalie equipment. This will give players an opportunity to try the position and perhaps spark an interest in becoming a goalie next season.

📅 Looking Ahead
Once a coach is in place, the plan would be to use October primarily for practices and player development, with games beginning in November. The QC Board will assist with scheduling practices and games throughout the season.

Once the team is established and playing, we can also look at registering for a female tournament that fits best with the team's schedule.
