DURATION:
This Program runs for 8 Weeks Starting January 19 until March 16   In the Auxiliary Gymnasium in the Amelia Saputo Center on the STFX campus. The Class is Mondays 3:15-4:15 PM. 

AGES:
This program is for boys and girls 4 years old - 12 years old.

COST & PAYMENT:
This Program costs $80 for the 8 week term. Payment will be completed through Credit Card payment with Playfinder after registration is accepted. 

WHAT TO EXPECT:
Participants will take part in various types of gymnastic activities, games, relays, obstacle courses, etc. to develop their physical literacy.
Our program follows the Canadian Gymnastics Federation's Can Gym Program, which is a badge incentive program that allows children to experience gymnastics in a progressive and safe manner. 

Please note: There are no parents allowed in gym during class time.  All pick up and drop offs are outside the gym doors of the Auxiliary Gym in  the Saputo Center.

Limit of 70 spots available, a waitlist of 10 will be maintained.

Introducing the Truro area to the exciting sport of short track speed skating.

The Cobequid Speed Skating Club will run programming on Sunday mornings in Debert at West Colchester Arena. It is open to new or experienced skaters, we have programs for children through to adults, and anyone is welcome to come out to try one of our speed skating sessions for free. Our programs include Childrens Learn to Skate and Full Speed Ahead, and youth+ Learn to Speed Skate, Skills Development, and Masters/ Recreational.

Community Sport Organization Basketball

The Colchester Basketball Association (CBA) was created in 2013 as a not-for-profit, volunteer-run association.  We offer players in Colchester County the opportunity to learn the game of basketball, have fun and compete across the region.  We are a member of Basketball Nova Scotia and follow the Basketball Canada model for long-term player development. Basketball Representative Play and an in-house Recreational League for Grades Primary to 9 for all of Colchester County. Recreational League Mission is to have fun and learn basketball skills in a non-competitive environment. No score kept and everyone gets equal playing time. Games are Saturday Mornings and League runs from January to April.

Each lesson focuses on developing physical literacy through skill development and fun, setting the groundwork for a love of sport and an “I can play anything!” attitude


Colchester Multisport is for children of all abilities in grades primary, one, two and three. It is a collaborative initiative with the Municipality of Colchester, the Town of Truro, and several local community sport organizations.

Registeration for Multisport will be hosted on Sport Hub Truro - Colchester.
