Kingston is a village in Kings County on the north bank of the Annapolis River in the Annapolis Valley of Nova Scotia. 

The Village of Bible Hill Parks and Recreation Department is responsible for the maintenance and care of multiple parks throughout the village. These include the Bible Hill Recreation Park, Airport Park Ball Fields, and many more small neighbourhood parks.

Intertwined and connecting many parts of the Village is our trail system. Dal AC trail, Eagle Crest Trail, and Farnham Brook trail to name a few, travel throughout the Village of Bible Hill. The Pat Mahaney Bike Trails also offer three difficulty levels for bikers to enjoy.

The department is also responsible for the creation and execution of opportunities for recreational activities. We aim to support the community by:

• Providing quality parks and trails.
• Providing support services to community organizations.
• Planning and coordinating recreation opportunities.
• Providing programming for different demographics. (children, seniors, etc.)
• Advising Village Commission on policy to support the vision of an active, healthy community.
• Providing special events throughout the year. (Christmas, Halloween, march break, etc.)

The Port Hawkesbury Civic Centre is a focal point in the region, serving residents, tourists and the business community. It is a state of the art facility offering meeting and conference facilities, including a full conference room (5040 square feet), a 16X30 board room, and classroom space.

The Civic Centre also houses an arena, fitness centre, dance studio, performance space, the J. Franklin Wright Gallery, municipal offices, racquetball courts, and a walking track.

Advance Female Floorball Summer Camp

During the outdoor season (usually May through October), tennis in Truro, Nova Scotia mostly happens at 12 Palmer Street, at the entrance to Victoria Park. Here the Truro Tennis Club operates and maintains 6 hard courts (4 lit with new LED lights) and a clubhouse. It runs programs and events for all ages and levels of play.

The clubhouse is staffed from sometime in May to the end of August.

Mon – Fri 9:00 a.m. – 8:00 p.m.
Sat – Sun 10:00 a.m. – 2:00 p.m.

Non-members are welcome to drop-in and try tennis anytime or sign up for one of our “Try Tennis” nights. Those who play regularly at the club will benefit from a membership.

Truro Tennis Club does not run day camps or offer tennis lessons. Cougar Dome makes use of the club facilities during the outdoor season to run lessons and other programs.

The Truro Curling Club provides every curler with a friendly environment to enjoy the game. Whether you have curled for years or never touched a stone,the Truro Curling Club welcomes you!For the beginner try out our Learn-to-Curl program and join one of our fun leagues. For the more experienced curler, join one of our Men's,Ladies or Mixed teams and practice your skills on the ice. Don't think you can get down in the hack?  Try out stick curling ! Curling has something to offer for people of all ages and abilities,in a fun, social environment. After the game there is always time to relax in the clubhouse with snacks, beverages and great conversation.

Truro Bearcats Lacrosse Association is a non-profit organization, sanctioned by Lacrosse Nova Scotia and a member of the Scotia Minor Lacrosse League, committed to introducing players to and supporting their development in all areas of Lacrosse… Canada’s Other National Sport.  By providing a safe, inclusive, fun filled co-ed playing environment players aged 5-18 learn the basics of the sport while developing skill and sportsmanship as they progress.

Box lacrosse is a uniquely Canadian game and is best described as a game of speed and reaction. The strategy of Lacrosse is similar to that of basketball, with five runners involved in both offense and defense with a goalie protecting the net at each end.

The Box Lacrosse season is short! Weekly practices often start in April while the competitive season runs May through June and is finished in time to enjoy summer vacation.  Our mini program for players aged 5-8 focuses on teamwork and having fun and runs May-June.

Tri-County Roller Derby League is a flat track roller derby league in Yarmouth NS.

General science camp with hands on activities and demonstrations from a variety of branches of science.  This camp is geared towards youth in Grades 1-2.

The Town of Westville provides services and governance including public works, local roads, sewer and water, recreation, and other municipal services to the residents of Westville.

The Parks, Recreation and Culture Department is responsible for the care and maintenance of many facilities in Truro including Victoria Park, Victoria Park Pool, Douglas Street Recreation Centre, Kiwanis Park, Colchester Legion Stadium, and the TAAC Grounds and Clubhouse. The department is also responsible for the creation and execution of opportunities for recreational and cultural activities. We aim to support the recreation, sport and cultural capacity of the community.
