The Celtics Soccer Club aims to offer quality recreational and competitive programming options for all persons in Antigonish.  We, at the Celtics Club, want to support the development of the whole athlete.  We recognize the value of multisport participation and strive to work collaboratively with the HUB and our other community sport organizations to make Antigonish the best sport community in the country.

Antigonish Challenger Baseball is an adaptive program that provides an opportunity for children and youth with cognitive and/or physical disabilities to enjoy the full benefits of participating in organized baseball at a level structured to their abilities.

The Municipality of the County of Antigonish is a facilitator; supporting and collaborating to create opportunities and resources for the community to pursue physical activity, sport, and recreation endeavours that help lead to enhanced quality of life.

Antigonish Creative Dance Association is a non-profit, registered charitable organization established in 1976. Our mandate is to provide an inclusive, creative, and affordable dance program for all ages in Antigonish and surrounding areas. 

ACA is Antigonish's community arts council, a charitable organization dedicated to the development of artistic and cultural life in the community.

The Antigonish Golf Club seeks to provide positive golf opportunities for athletes of all ages.

Basketball skill development for the youth in Antigonish County. With a mix of fundamentals and game-like play our coaches will help to improve the game for every child participating. No matter what skill level, we treat each child with respect and encourage them in developing their skills. Not only will we lay the foundation for the game of basketball, but hopefully teach them some life skills along the way… work ethic, good sportsmanship, team play, etc. We are excited to work with your child and see them reach new levels as a player and a person.

AMHA is a non-profit organization focused on fostering fun & inclusive player development & a life-long love of hockey amongst youth of northeastern Nova Scotia. Our community’s strong hockey tradition has long been based on a commitment to good sportsmanship, fair play, & diverse program development. We aim to increase hockey participation in our local community while enriching the recreational & competitive experience of players, families, coaches, & fans from U4 to U18 levels. Quality weekly skill sessions, practices, & games while supporting opportunities to grow the game equitably through different levels of representative hockey: house league, Learn to Play, female, para hockey, multi-sport programming, & a commitment to ongoing coach development.

Antigonish Minor Softball Association is a non-profit organization which aims to provide both male & female softball players with a positive softball experience.

Antigonish Multisport is a collaborative project for children in grades primary and 1, between 10 community sport organizations, 2 municipal recreation departments, with the support of numerous community sport stakeholders (local, provincial and national). Growing children through sport by providing opportunities to develop skills and confidence to enjoy the positive benefits of a quality, first experience.

Antigonish Rowing Club provides Learn to Row, Recreational, and Competitive Rowing for Youth (12+) on Lochaber Lake. Coaches are experienced and will ensure the athletes’ safety and well-being – and make sure they have fun!

Rural League is an adult contact hockey league that has been in existence since 1950.  Games are played on Saturday night starting at 7pm.

Wrestling Antigonish is a a not-for-profit club dedicated to promoting and instructing olympic style wrestling.

Soccer is the largest organized summer sport in our municipality. There are teams ranging in age from 3 to 17. All teams are co-ed. There are over 300 youth that take part in Argyle Minor Soccer. Registration takes place each April (exact dates, locations and times will be updated on this website as well as on our facebook page).

The Recreation Department offers recreational programs and events for people of all ages. 

We envision a community where people of all abilities, experience the joy and the freedom to be found through daily participation in a wide variety of unstructured and structured opportunities for play, recreation and physical activity in our beautiful natural surroundings, recreation spaces and quality facilities. Individuals appreciate the benefits of recreation and are aware of the opportunities. Leaders and community organizations collaborate to provide quality recreation opportunities for the youngest to the eldest in all seasons of the year.

Minor Ball Club playing on the Arisaig Ballfield currently fielding U7 and U9 learn to play programs. 

The Arisaig Parish Community Centre (APCC) was built by volunteers in 1989. The hall has been used extensively by the community for wedding receptions, family reunions, birthday parties, socials after funerals, card parties, Antigonish summer recreation programs, meetings, fitness/yoga sessions, and numerous social and recreation activities.

Athletics Nova Scotia is the non-profit sport governing body for track and field, cross country running and road running in Nova Scotia. We are a member of Athletics Canada and provide training, competition and opportunities for all ages and abilities.
