Lismore & District Community Hall is a versatile event space in Pictou County, NS, offering a range of facilities for community gatherings and private events.

With its convenient location and well-equipped amenities, the hall serves as a hub for various activities and functions within the local community.

Built in 1975, the Little Harbour Community Centre is the heart of this charming beach community. Over the years it has been a gathering place and home to many wonderful functions. Currently held at the Community Centre are: Pickleball, Senior’s Luncheons, Yard sales, Christmas in the Harbour events, Ceilidh, Trivia, Dances,Pub Days, Craft Sales, Weddings, Birthday parties, Celebrations of Life and a variety of community fundraisers for both the Centre, the Little Harbour Fire Department and it’s Ladies Auxiliary. The hall is wheelchair accessible, air-conditioned, offers free wifi, and has recently undergone many renovations.

The Mabou & District Athletic Centre is a non profit , community commission run, inclusive facilty that has been proudly serving  Mabou & surrounding communities since 1971-72. 

The Mabou Arena was the first arena in Inverness County outside of the town of Port Hawkesbury. The Athletic Centre is devoted to promoting physical activity and strives to provide a safe location for community members of all ages and skill levels to meet (social network), participate in sport (skill development), or recreational activities. 

Community Center for events . Available for bookings for Birthday Parties, dances, concerts, receptions, meetings, etc. Exceptional Rates!!! 

A local recreational facility used for community sports, including minor baseball.

The New Glasgow Dirtbike/Skateboard Park is a  100 x 60 ft skate park that has modular skateboard equipment as well as a pump track. Basketball nets and restrooms are also available.

The North End Recreation Centre is a charitable, non-profit association located in New Glasgow. Meeting and Rental space available!

North Nova Education Centre is a grades 9 to 12 high school located on the edge of the New Glasgow town limits.

Rental spaces are available. Contact school for details.

Northumberland Regional High is a grade 9-12 school within the Chignecto Central Regional Centre for Education.

Pictou Academy is a grade 7-12 school within the Chignecto Central Regional Centre for Education.

The Pictou Fisheries Training Pool was officially opened in May 1980 as a joint effort between the Department of Fisheries and the Town of Pictou and is now operated by The YMCA of Pictou County.

The pool is 25 meters long and 15 meters wide with water depth varying from 1 meter to 3.8   meters.

The Pioneer Coal Athletics Field is a 400m, 8 lane rubberized track and field complex complete with 4 horizontal jump pits, javelin runways, a discus & hammer throw cage, a shot put circle as well as a high jump and pole vault area. The facility is also equipped with washrooms on both levels, the D&L Landry canteen, an office space with high speed internet service and a spectator viewing room/trainers room.

The facility is open from April until October for the community for walking, jogging and workouts.
