Introduction to the Home (Index) Page

Welcome to the PlayFinder Home page! This is your starting point for discovering community sports, events, and opportunities in your area.

From this page, you can:

• View upcoming events happening soon in your community.
• Search for organizations, facilities, and programs using the search bar.
• Access helpful guides on creating an account or registering for activities.
• Manage your personal or family profile (if signed in).
• Stay up to date with community news and announcements.

Whether you’re a new visitor or a returning member, the Home page is designed to help you quickly find and access the information and tools you need to get involved and stay active. Use the navigation buttons and search features to explore everything PlayFinder has to offer!

User Actions

• If a message is available (such as after registration), it appears at the top of the page in a highlighted box to inform you of important updates or confirmations.

• A scrolling message bar near the top of the page displays announcements or important information for your community.

• The PlayFinder logo is displayed prominently, along with the name of your community.

• If your community has a Facebook page, a link is provided. Clicking it opens the community’s Facebook page in a new browser tab.

• If you are signed in:

  • If you have already set up a PlayFinder profile, you see a message and a large button labeled "Your PlayFinder." Clicking this button takes you to your PlayFinder profile, where you can manage registrations, memberships, equipment, and more.
  • A button labeled "How to Register" is available. Clicking it opens a guide on how to register for programming in a new browser tab.
  • If you have not set up a PlayFinder profile, you see a message and a large button labeled "Setup PlayFinder Profile." Clicking this button lets you add your personal information to discover and access eligible opportunities.
  • The "How to Register" button is also available in this case.

• If you are not signed in:

  • A button labeled "How to Create an Account" is available. Clicking it opens a guide on creating an account in a new browser tab.
  • A button labeled "Create an Account" is available. Clicking it takes you to the account registration page.
  • A button labeled "How to Register" is available. Clicking it opens a guide on registering for programming in a new browser tab.

• A search bar is provided in the center of the page:

  • You can enter keywords in the search field and click the search button (magnifying glass icon) to search for organizations, events, or facilities.

• Under the heading "Happening soon in [Community Name]":

  • If there are upcoming events, they are listed in a table with columns for Location, Organization, Event Title, Start Date, and End Date.
  • The Event Title for each event is a clickable link. Clicking it opens more details about the event in a new browser tab.
  • If there are no upcoming events, a message informs you that there are currently no upcoming events for your community.

• If the Terms of Use are referenced in the page content, a link may be available. Clicking it opens the Terms of Use in a new browser tab. (Note: This
